In 2023, Con gained recognition for his Bristol Jazz Festival animated poster series, reflecting his love of music, dance, and character illustration. With a background in designing for brands, he’s dedicated to seeking simple, yet clever ideas that make people smile—and linger in the mind long after.
As a neurodivergent artist, Con is always looking for clear, direct ways to communicate. He believes that complex messages are best conveyed with simplicity, emotion, and oftentimes a touch of humour.
Now based in creative and chaotic Bristol, Con studied design at Norwich University of the Arts and illustration at Hochschule Mainz in Germany. His creative process blends thoughtful ideas with a rhythmic, analog approach, using minimal linework, shifting textures, and wobbly imperfections to create a nostalgic, human touch that stands out against today’s increasingly polished digital aesthetic.

What does the creative process look like?
While not every project is the same, below you’ll find an outline
of a typical illustration or animation project.
Stage 0 | Project specifics
Discovery call
An opportunity for us to meet and chat through the brief. If you don’t have one, we’ll work together to create one.
Project kick-off
Once the licensing and brief have been agreed upon, we’re ready to begin your project.
Stage 01 | Concepting
Concept share
A variety of concepts will be presented to you based on the challenges outlined in our brief. You’ll choose one concept for us to develop together.
Stage 02 | Development
Development call
A developed, fully realised illustration will be presented (or, if we’re working on an animation, you’ll see 2-3 final frames to demonstrate the final look). This will allow room for any final minor comments before finalisation begins.
Stage 03 | Finalisation
Final share
There will be a final call to present the finalised artwork, during which we can also discuss a strategy for promoting the work together, including case studies and coordinated social media efforts.
File handover
You’ll receive your final artwork in the relevant format, ready for you to use and share.
